From my first call until the service visit, the staff and James were nothing but of the highest professional caliber. The service was described in detail both on the call and by James when he arrived. Before he arrived, James sent a text he was on the way with his picture included.
Once here, James cleaned out the drain line, ensured good flow, replaced our filter, and thoroughly examined both the inside and outside units.
Once the inspection was complete, he was honest in advising that our unit was old (it is… very) and that we would be looking at replacing both units in the near future. He explained the condition of each unit in detail. He did not try to sell us on parts, etc.
He mentioned he noticed we had a UV light (which had long since stopped working) and asked if we were interested in a new one. I told him I'd let him know, and he did not use any pressure tactics whatsoever, even being honest and upfront about the limitations of the UV and our older unit. . I discussed with my wife, who did want a new one. James explained it could be transferred to a possible new unit in the future (along with our preventative maintenance contract) and he installed the unit. While installing, he pointed out that the old unit was wired to the fan, so the light only operated while the fan was running. That was fixed, too.
He then checked the airflow in my daughter's room, said it seemed ok and suggested she use the ceiling fan. He also jumped into the attic at my request and showed me pictures and video of the ductwork, which appeared to be intact.
Before he left, James showed me pictures of everything he did (and emailed them to me, too). The entire visit was professional, transparent and very friendly. Dang It's Hot: You have a gem of a tech here, and a great business model. We are so glad we found you and we look forward to a long relationship.
