Before we were Dang It's Hot!, we were Ferrara’s Air, a trusted, family-run HVAC company proudly serving South Florida homeowners since 2006.
We built our reputation on honest advice, quality work, and genuine relationships, and none of that has changed.
This rebrand wasn’t the result of a buyout or change in ownership. We’re still the same family-owned team, just with a name and look that reflects where we are now and where we’re going.
When the Florida heat hits, we wanted a name that’s fun, memorable, and easy to recall. But behind the new logo is the same promise: to keep your home cool, clean, and comfortable with service you can trust.
How It All Started
Tony Ferrara never planned to be in the HVAC business. In fact, he jokes that he was “conned into it” by his dad, who promised no curfew if he gave it a shot. What started as a teenage compromise turned into a lifelong passion.
Tony enrolled in the local Union apprenticeship program, completing a rigorous 5-year education and hands-on training in the trades. From there, he built his expertise as an industrial technician for Trane, working on large-scale industrial systems.
After years in the field and a downturn in the economy, Tony took a leap of faith. A van, a license, and a spare bedroom became the launchpad for what would grow into one of Pompano Beach’s most trusted air conditioning companies.
When Vanessa Ferrara joined the company, her background in event planning and crisis management clicked with the fast-paced, problem-solving nature of the HVAC world. With a business degree and years of experience supporting the C-suite and board of directors at DentalPlans.com, Vanessa brought a different kind of expertise. She understood operations, finance, and customer experience at a strategic level and quickly helped build out the company's backend while learning the industry from the ground up.
Together, they’ve created a company that’s not just efficient, it’s deeply personal.
